Archive for 'Creatives – Styled Shoots'
Excited to have been featured on Wedding Chicks website last week for this lovely soft Dreamers shoot! You can see the full featured post here! Here are some of my favourite shots from the shoot. I cannot be more happy that we had interest from Wedding Chicks to be featured by them! Thank You lovely girls!
The flowers in this shoot were provided by Michael Jackson of Prestige Floral Studio. Amazing or stunning doesn’t begin to cover Michael’s work.
Doing these shoots is something of a whirlwind. Amazing creative people as those listed below, all working together with a common goal. I am so very lucky to have this awesome group of creatives working with me on these shoots. Without their continued excited and enthusiasm on the shoots we couldn’t make them happen.
The vendors that constantly and openly share their products with us are another major inclusion in these shoots. They have full trust that we will capture and use their products to their full potential. We cannot say thank you enough to each of them for being so readily involved with us and our dreams!

Getting an email from Style Me Pretty saying that your styled shoot will be featured on their million hits web page, will never get old. There is something great & rewarding about seeing all the hard work of vendors that you work with, being featured for the world to see.
This group of people that pulled this shoot together are amazing. I asked them in the middle of the craziest week of summer, during high wedding season, to do this. Can we do this? We pulled together and made it happen and for this I am glad and proud to see our work in lights again.
The details of Emily & Matt’s casual affair were pulled together by Kiss the Bride at the Prince Edward Island National Park. The color palette of yellow, orange and turquoise was inspired by the island beach landscape; sun, sand and surf. Held in the evening, the event’s saturated color tones are softened by the setting sun and lots of candlelight. Keeping with the color scheme, local, seasonal flowers from Hearts & Flowers were casually arranged by Modern Jane Design in a variety of simple arrangements.
Inspired by the sunset, CityView Bakery created a magical cake that featured a bottom tier with three tone turquoise waves. In keeping with the whimsical feel, a tier of orange and yellow ombre flowers accented the cake décor. Jennifer also created created special delicacies that offered lots of options for their guests, including vanilla malt pies, sweet and salty s’mores, orange & lemon flavored macaroons, and chocolate covered Prince Edward Island potato chips. Orange Lunchbox also treated guests to food that featured local Prince Edward Island ingredients, including The PEI Burger, which an island beef burger, garlic whipped potato, arugula, bacon, caramelized onion, sautéed mushrooms, and garlic aioli, along with Halibut Tacos, and PEI Fresh Cut Fries season to perfection.
PEI Makeup Artist, Michelle Cudmore focused on creating a beautiful, bronzed, beach look. Her skin was illuminated with golden bronzers and a shimmery gold powder highlighting her beautiful cheekbones. Her green eyes were played up with a golden champagne colour and makeup that reflected her surfer-girl lifestyle. Cheryl Weeks Hairstylist created a naturally flowing essence to the bride’s hairstyle. Emily’s hair was inspired by knots, braids and twists that could have evolved from a windswept day at the beach. To compliment her style, stackable handmade leather bracelets and custom straw hats featuring vintage reproduction prints were made by Love Charlie.
Kim Roach Design created custom made invitations especially suited for their special day that featured hand sketched lettering and pops of colour. Since their theme was all things beach related, the colors and tones reflected that found on the north shore of Prince Edward Island.

I couldn’t smile any bigger than to find out that our recent styled shoot would be featured on Style Me Pretty today. We did the shoot less than 2 weeks ago and it was picked up right away. To be published on SMP is a joy and honor in itself; such a reward for a lot of hard work of doing a styled shoot. Style Me Pretty receives more than 400 submissions per week as well as millions of hits per week which is amazing! Many of the same vendors that collaborated on this shoot were featured on the site before with our beautiful PEI shoot in which we did all things PEI! It is a pleasure to be featured again!
Our concepts for our styled shoots come with many discussion and a lot of hours of hard work. They do not happen over night and include a lot of meticulous detail design. I cannot thank each of the Prince Edward Island Wedding Vendors enough for all the effort they put into these shoots with me. I also want to thank our lovely models (Jared + Chelsie) who jumped into our creative world with an open mind!
Please check out the shoot on Style Me Pretty and some of my favorites below!

Thanks to the amazingly lovely people over at Bow Ties & Bliss for featuring another of my recent shoots. I was featured on their site last week with a wedding of Adrianne & Johnny.
The current publication that they are featuring us was for now is a Sunday Brunch Shower. This shoot was captured using DIY, Vintage charm and lots of treats! Thanks to everyone who was involved, including our lovely models who were amazing to work with!
I think having me at your friends wedding shower, or family shower would be amazing. You would have me for a few hours to capture all the excitement, gift opening and then walk away with some amazing professional captures including group shots, gift openings and fun in general! You can then enjoy the time with friends and family instead of worrying about the event being captured!

Very excited to share with you some images that were taken on a very cold, windy winter Sunday afternoon. These images are being featured today on 100 Layer Cake and I am proud to share this exciting news to everyone! “Meredith & Ryan are one of the most versatile sweet couples I have yet to meet. They can go from casual to elegant in a matter of moments as you can see here in this shoot. When I asked Meredith & Ryan if they would like to be involved they said yes without a moments hesitation which made me smile! The day of the shoot it was -24 with windchill in Good Ole’ Eastern Canada but there hearts were so warmed by their recent marriage that it didn’t cause them to be upset! I was ecstatic to be a part of their NYE celebration and then to have the chance to photograph them again for this styled shoot. I hope to remain friends with them for a long time”
