Let me introduce you to my Little Cousin Colleen (LCC). I say cousin because that is the technical term. To me she is more like a sister. LCC & I grew up next door to each other and “burned” back and forth to each others back deck many many days when we we were young. It seems all too crazy that tomorrow she will be giving birth to twins. Yes, not one but two!
Normally I do not post a lot of maternity photos or blog posts regarding them. I recently seem to have an influx of people around me that are having babies. Literally 4 in the previous and this next week. I am excited for each and everyone of you!
LCC, I wish you nothing but the best. I cannot wait to hold precious little Sophie and Simon in my arms, and of course capture their every move that will happen! You & Aaron will be amazing parents and those little darlings are very lucky to have you support their way through this world!
Love you both XO
Little “Krita” is expecting again! YAY! So excited that their will be another Peters joining the family!
I was super excited to receive the call about little Chloe entering the world. I remember when I got the call at work from Krista’s mother. Of course I cried. I cried all the joy and relief that little Chloe had arrived safe and sound. You see, Ashley, is like a brother of sorts to me. I have one brother, and I grew up with all of his friends. Ashley being our first cousin, was around home a lot and it seemed quite normal to think of him as an addition to our family. Chloe was dreamt about by Ashley & Krista long before her arrival. We always knew a Chloe was going to arrive, just when was the question.
So now we are awaiting the arrival of a new Peters. The last part of Krista’s pregnancy was a bit more difficult than with Chloe and she was put on bed rest until the day the new baby arrives, which has now been announced as June 29th. We had to do the maternity shoot in the hospital because of the situation, and it didn’t seem to stop any of them from smiling!
Renee & Robbie were expecting when I took these photos and they emailed me today to let me know that little “Blake Ivan Dixon” was born to them just recently! I am sure that Blake will be loved and cherished like he should be. I thought I would share these maternity photos with you that I took of Renee last month!
Born: August 21, 2009
Size at Birth: 7 pounds 14 ounces
Into this world, the most beautiful sweet little darling that any mother and father could ask for. This little darling stole their hearts and mine as well. Those beautiful blue eyes were peering into this world, hoping for all the best for her and everyone around her.
Ten fingers, Ten toes
She’s laughter and teardrops
So small and brand new
And amazingly angelic
She’s sent to bless you
She’s one special Baby
The best of life’s treasure
And will grant and bless you
Many hours of great pleasure.
Take a sprinkling of fairy dust,
An angel’s single feather,
Also a dash of love and care,
Then mix them both together.
Add a sentiment or two,
A thoughtful wish or line,
A touch of stardust, a sunshine ray…
It’s a recipe, for a Baby Girl truly fine.
Dawn & Robbie were awesome to work with during their pregnancy and were up for anything. It was a beautiful summer night when I took these photos for them. I think after yesterday’s snow, I started to think back of all the sessions I hadn’t posted yet that were done during this past summer. You know summer – when it is sunny and warm. Not winter when it is cold and snowy.
I love doing maternity sessions outdoors because they can become much more exciting than in front of a cloth background. Of course having our beautiful island as a backdrop definitely helps! These were taken at Lakeside beach where a lot of my beach sessions are help. It was around 7 or 8 o’clock at night to capture that beautiful golden light.
