When I finally get to meet my couples for an engagement session and we talk and talk and plan and plan for the wedding day, it makes me excited and happy for the big day. I love hearing the stories and reasons behind the choices for the big day. It helps me to understand and adore my couples.
I met Kristen when she was a part of Lindy and Li’s wedding in the summer of 2010. It was funny how we ended talking. I was travelling by myself on the day of Lindy and Li’s wedding and Kristen ended up travelling in my vehicle on the way to our chosen location for photos. Of course I asked Kristen a million question including if she was married…and at the time nope she was just newly engaged. Of course, me being me, I needed every single detail. A short time passed when I revived the most excited email asking me to join them on their upcoming wedding day!
Kristen and Brad were married outside at the Culinary Institute of Canada and then had the reception to follow right on site. We also choose to do a lot of the photos out at Brad’s parents property and it was great. We fought with dark rain clouds a few times but it was nothing that we all couldn’t handle!
Thank you both for including me in your amazingly special day! I look forward to seeing you both in the future!

What a perfect time for a wedding, the holidays. Everyone is home, parties and gatherings are happening all of the time. Everyone wants to have a reason to celebrate. What better reason to celebrate than with the joining of two people in love.
This is another one of my glorious couples who decided to do a first look and see each other before the ceremony. It is always sweet to watch a couple see each other in complete private before anyone else sees them on their wedding day! We did all of Karen and Jon’s photos along with the family photos so they could spend time with family and friends following the ceremony. They were much more relaxed and in the moment by doing so! I love it!
Friends and family gathered at the Fairholm Inn in Charlottetown PEI for a sweet gathering of love. What a great place for a celebration! Congratulations Karen & Jon for having me join in your most amazing celebration.

Being part of a New Years Eve wedding is probably the most fun a photographer can have. It’s all fun. Everyone is beyond happy to be celebrating the wedding, the past year and welcoming in a new one!
My wedding packages change slightly for New Years Eve as they include more hours especially if you have a photo booth because that would bring me into the evening so I stay just past midnight to capture all the excitement of ringing in the new year.
Meredith & Ryan were married at Rodd Mill River Resort and the hotel & staff proved nothing short of awesome. Kimmy & I stayed at the hotel for the night and it was all great.
I met Meredith & Ryan for the very first time at their engagement session where I learned a lot of amazing things about them. I think engagement sessions are the single most important part of a couple hiring me. I would guess that most of my clients would agree!
Meredith and Ryan decided to do a first look before the wedding ceremony. This means that they saw each other before they said their vows. Meredith and Ryan choose to do all of their photos before as well the family photos which makes for a much more relaxed atmosphere after the ceremony. They then mingled with guests and enjoyed the moment instead of doing the photos following the wedding ceremony!

I probably have looked at these photo booth pics from Ryan & Meredith’s New Years Eve Wedding a zillion times. I laugh and laugh and laugh. My cheeks were hurting after we had this photo booth set up. At one point it was lined up down the hall. We had many props and many laughs.
This summer I am offering photo booths for clients that are booked with me. I can promise you that your guest will be happy with your choice to have one of these set up at your wedding!
Can we talk for a minute about Rachel + Nate? A couple of lovelies that I instantly felt a friendship form with on the first telephone call I had with Rachel? It started with the idea that Rachel & I were meant to be friends because of our name, which happened with another Rachel I photographed the year before! I instantly felt at ease with these 2 as if I had known them my whole existence. That feeling extended to the amazing group of friends and family that surrounded me on the wedding day.
Rachel + Nate are free spirits that live in Hawaii where Nate is a diver with the United States Navy. They met many years ago as children and have been friends ever since. I love the story and the images that marrying your best friend conjures up.
I enjoyed being the “photographer” on this day and will hope to continue this lovely friendship for a long time to come! Enjoy a slide show of the day as well as some images below!
