Lorraine & Andrew acted as if it was a sunny day. In their hearts I am sure it was the most beautiful sunny day this summer. Even thought it was rain, part hurricane/tropical storm & only 11 degrees, they acted like it was sunny. I loved them for it. They were all so organized (big thanks to one amazing MOH who knew how to work her role & did an amazing job at it) After working so hard to make the day perfect literally 2 minutes before the ceremony began, so did the rain. The outdoor wedding on a beautiful tree sheltered property in Freetown, PEI went on, without a hitch - as if it were sunny!

Here are just a few pics from the day. I thought as I looked through them for the first time, it hardly looks like a rainy day!

Oh how I love a rainy Monday! Gotta Love it! It gives me the extra time to wind down from the weekend, and yet go right into edit mode without feeling guilty that I should be out enjoying our short summer. I just took a quick look through Saturdays 38 degrees of hotness wedding! Here is one pic and there will be more to follow soon!

Sometimes the smallest weddings are the most intimate, beautiful, heartfelt events to capture. The bride and groom get to spend the time with the people that mean the most to them. I was so excited to be a part of Genevieve & Andy's wedding this summer. They spoke their vows in front of a small group of friends and family and loved every minute of it. Genevieve was so very photogenic and fun, she even let me sneak her away for a few quick photos by an old barn that I noticed. How exciting!

I wish Genevieve & Andy, and friends and family all that the universe has to offer!

Remember that the Blogroll has photos down the side so be sure to check them all out and leave some love and congratulations for Gen & Andy!
This Blogroll session has 14 photos.

I had a great time with Courtney & Graham, friends and family. Everyone was so welcoming to have me as part of their day and I was most excited by their enthusiasm. The wedding ceremony along with the reception and dance was all held at the Delta Hotel in Charlottetown, which makes for an easy transition after the ceremony for photos. We did however, leave to get some outdoor photos in downtown Charlottetown. It was fun, and mother nature held off raining until literally within a half an hour of finishing the photos.

Courtney & Graham have been together for a quite a while and everyone involved in the wedding was waiting for this day. I was so happy to look out into the crowd as I was taking the photos and see so many smiles. Everyone was so happy for them, including me. This is one thing I try to tell my brides, to stop at the ceremony and look out at the "audience" for just a moment and look at the sea of smiles. Smiles from the front of the room to the back, a few tears of happiness but mostly smiles. I love it. To be able to be around people on the happiest day of their lives, what a thrill, how amazing it really is.

Love where you've been.

Love where you're at.

Love how you think.

Love the power you pack.

Love all that you seek.

Love all that you feel.

Love your rocking emotions

and the thoughts you make real.

But mostly really love you in this very moment.

When mystics use the word love, they use it very carefully -- in the deeply spiritual sense, where to love is to know; to love is to act. If you really love, from the depths of your Consciousness, that love gives you a native wisdom. You perceive the needs of others intuitively and clearly, with detachment from any personal desires; and you know how to act creatively to meet those needs, dexterously surmounting any obstacle that comes in the way. Such is the immense, driving power of love.

Therefore, when I say that 'I love,' it is not I who love, but in reality Love who acts through me. Love is not so much something I do as something that I am. Love is not a doing but a state of being - a relatedness, a connectedness to another mortal, an identification with her or him that simply flows within me and through me, independent of my intentions or my efforts.

When you are aware that you are the force that is Life, anything is possible. Miracles happen all the time, because those miracles are performed by the heart. The heart is in direct communion with the human soul, and when the heart speaks, even with the resistance of the head, something inside you changes; your heart opens another heart, and true love is possible.
