This post comes after popular demand/requests about last weekends wedding and the write up that I posted with it. "You must show the shoes" was in one person's subject line of the email!

I mentioned how when I was lying on the burning hot pavement getting a ground level shot of a wedding party members shoes, that my gratitude for what I do flashed before my eyes. No it wasn't heat stroke, although it could have been close. I don't think it was my recent concussion either. I believe that I truly am blessed to be able to share what I love doing with amazing couples on such a special day in their lives. I cannot explain how excited I feel during and after a wedding. It is like my heart literally swells up with happiness, so much happiness that I could almost cry. Tears of happiness of course. These gratifying moments happen all the time with me, and for that I am very, VERY grateful. I am excited to be doing what I love and feeling that happiness with every fiber of my being, even if the heat from the burning hot pavement is trying to make me come out of it!

I can only hope, wish and pray that everyone finds something that makes them feel this way. Creativity for me, brings out my attitude of gratitude and I love every single minute it.

So without further a due...here are the shoes that caused an influx of emails and comments.

8 months ago on a very cold, freezing actually; winter day I met Ryan & Jenn for some engagement photos in Charlottetown. The session was over very quickly, but the friendship was sure to continue. This past weekend on very sunny and hot, melting hot actually; summer day they were married. I was very happy to be a part of it all!

Jenn was stunning and very calm all day, from start to finish. All of her beautiful friends were with her to support her and share with her an awesome perfect day. Their was not a detail they had left undone, and it was all in order to make Jennifer's day flow easily, and that it had done.

Ryan and his boys were at Ryan's parents house, had played a round of golf in the morning and were getting ready when I arrived. Guys were all a flutter straightening ties, and laughing aloud.
They were all very excited to get the day underway!

Towards the end of the session, I was laying on the pavement, doing shoe shots (yes I love my shoes!) and thought to myself how lucky am I? You may laugh and think I am foolish for loving laying on the pavement in the blistering heat and still loving what I do. But that is just it. I really LOVE what I do. I didn't notice the heat or anything else around me. I couldn't have been more excited to lay down on the ground to get the perfect shoe shot. What a great feeling it is to do something that I am passionate about for a living. I could only hope that everyone finds something to be passionate about in there lives and they follow it.

Jenn & Ryan I wish you nothing but the best future, all the excitement and happiness of a marriage that you both hope for.

UFIT. It all started with UFIT Relay for Life. Anyone who knows UFIT knows that it an amazing workout or shall I say "dance party," where you will not only find something that will help you be healthy for life, but also have friends for life. In this case love for life. As they walked the track during the Relay for Life and talked and talked all night long until 6 a.m, they fell in love.

When Amanda looks at Caroline, she feels love, her heart smiles. It smiles with LOVE, the kind that makes your heart grow and grow with happiness. Caroline & Amanda have found each other, to be the love of their lives.

I had the opportunity to work with Mary & Ben this past weekend, and to spend the most important day ever with them. I am working on their photos but thought I would share this one shot with everyone. Between the rain and wind we had a tough time getting the shots we wanted outdoors. Mary had her heart set on some beach shots, and we just finished and the heavens opened up and down poured, with no shortage of thunder and lightening. It was a fun day and I will post more shots later as I go!

Meet Shawn & Patty! Just one look at these 2 love birds and you would think that they were newly weds, not only because of their youth but because they acted it. I was surprised, happy & hopeful to hear that they have been married 25 years! I had to find out more about this love, because they seemed so youthful, undivided and so fun. Patty gave me some insight into there 25 years together!

"Shawn and I were married 25 years ago on April 28, 1984. I can honestly say that we love each other even more today. 25 years ago, we were just kids ourselves, when we married 10 months after a very short courtship. Our dating days were spent in Charlottetown walking all over the city hand in hand, getting to know each other, wanting the same things in life. I found out I was pregnant on our first anniversary, and that marked the first of four children every two years. Adults now, our children range in age from 17 - 23.

Money was very tight in the early years and raising four children, we were always very conscience of spending. We spent a lot of time at playgrounds, going on walks, picnics, and most vividly I remember laughing our heads off. Shawn lost his Dad to cancer when he was in his early teenage years, and I remember him saying he always wanted to be there for our family. With that being said, it has always been very important for us to be together as a family.

We have also worked at enriching our relationship, including our involvement with Marriage Encounter for the past 15 years. It gives us an opportunity to express our deep feelings of how we value each other, and what we want for our marriage. Shawn has always been, and continues to be my best friend whom I choose to spend most of my time with. When he looks at me, I feel loved, and I want him to feel the same way from me. We are eternally grateful for everyday we have together.

I have always loved Shawn very much, and these pictures have been an aphrodisiac for me. I didn't think it was possible to love him any more than I already did, but the more I look at his picture, I think to myself, I love you so much."
