So my two little supermodels Rachel & Jeremy decided that the week following the wedding they wanted to do an Empower the Dress session with 2 parts, which turned into 3 parts. Part 1 is with Rachel's horses that she grew up with. The light was gorgeous as were the subjects!

Horses are so gentle and amazing. I always thought they have super sensory powers to tell if humans are upset or happy. These horses were beautiful, and were instantly calmed by Rachel's voice, such an amazing connection to have!

Empower the Dress sessions; as I am sure I mentioned 17 million times are so much fun! Just more casual, and more time to work with. I could/would have taken pics of this set up all night had the light lasted!!

Jeremy's father was the officiant at this marriage, which made it all the more special for both Jeremy & Rachel. He spoke many kind words but something that stood out to me in his sermon was the following. I agree with all of these tips for a happy, healthy marriage.

He spoke of the 3 Things that will help their new marriage. The 3 R's.

R for Respect.
R for Romance.
R is for Resolve.

Elvis was a huge part of this day. Jeremy (Jay) is a big Elvis fan, and it was evident. We had a lot of fun with some Elvis & Priscilla dolls that Rachel gave to Jeremy. They are collectibles that she had given to him as a gift and we opened them up, brand new out of the box, and used them for part of the shoot. That's what kind of couples I have. Amazing. Playful. Sweet. Fun.

Our beaches here on Prince Edward Island are unbelievable. As we drove towards it, I couldn't help but pretend it was my first time on an island beach. I was thinking that if it was my first time, I would be in awe. Gorgeous hills of long green sea grass, with electric blue waters, red capes and white sands. Elvis was part of the vows that they spoke to each other on the beach on PEI. As Elvis had sung, they spoke with the waves crashing in the background.

Part of their vows during the ceremony were the Lyrics for Love me Tender by Elivis. I loved it!

Love me tender,
Love me sweet,
Never let me go.
You have made my life complete,
And I love you so.

Love me tender,
Love me true,
All my dreams fulfilled.
For my darlin I love you,
And I always will.

Love me tender,
Love me long,
Take me to your heart.
For it's there that I belong,
And well never part.

Love me tender,
Love me dear,
Tell me you are mine.
Ill be yours through all the years,
Till the end of time.

(when at last my dreams come true
Darling this I know
Happiness will follow you
Everywhere you go)

Hmmmm what am I going to do with my life? What will I be when I grow up? I want to travel, no wait I want to stay here. I like country music, no I hate country music. I am soooo in love, grrrr I don't want to date you anymore! These are all typical thoughts & questions that run through the mind of most teenagers these days. I know for sure they were going through mine when I was in grade 11. They still run through my mind from time to time. Bree is typical in that way but unique in so many others.

Bree has all those thoughts and many more going around in her mind. I could see the words all spinning around her head when we met. We instantly laughed and chatted as we snapped pics all around downtown Charlottetown. I thinks she is absolutely stunning inside and out. I love that I can connect with young girls easily and get right back to that grade 11 state of mind.

Bree and I chatted about likes and dislikes. I was most excited to here that she did not infact have Bieber-fever but one of her favorite Band is the Killers and that she has quite an interest in photography!

Tomorrow's a mystery but that's okay, cause your a girl on a mission - you're ready to fly! I am sure all the decisions of life will all work out for you Bree. It is funny that as we grow we find out we will always have questions and play the "what if" game. Life is all about learning lessons and growing from them, and we will continue to do as we grow old.

Oh Souris how I love thee. It is a long drive but it is always a fun day. Everyone is so friendly & fun! I was so excited that I even left my extra camera bag at the church, full of gear and someone came running down the road to bring it back!

When I first met Jeremy & Erin, I instantly learned all about Jeremy's love for his "Green Mistress" which is his car, I didn't know how deep that love ran until the wedding day. The cars were used in all aspects of the day, from transportation to a full on photo shoot! They were also used in the Engagement Session.

Erin is a person that when you meet her you know that she will be a friend for life with a big heart. As the months went on with planning, I received emails asking for advice, not only on photography but also as a friend. I was surprised that when she was at the reception, and during their thank you speech, they decided to thank me, in front of their family. I was definitely touched that I had made that much of an impact on her wedding day and planning. I love getting to know my couples and not thinking of them as clients but as friends.

I must be the luckiest girl in the world to have my birthday on my favorite weekend of the year. This is the weekend that we all give Thanks for everything we already have and are surrounded by family & friends

It is not my favorite because it is my birthday and I am getting older. BUT my birthday reminds me each year to celebrate my life and keep adding and scratching things off of my bucket list. My bucket list is a never ending life list. So I am going to add 10 (in the spirit of 10-10-10) right now, off the top of my head that I want to accomplish this coming year.

Here weeeeeeee goooooooooooo!

1 - Travel to Bhutan (my/the land of happiness), to live with a local family and experience their culture

2 - Try to go in the ocean water past my knees without hyperventilating or holding someones hand

3 - Be able to run 10k again
without hyperventilating or holding someones hand

4 - Become a morning person or at least not growl because the alarm is going off!

5 - Read More

6 - Relax More

7 - Hug More

8 - Speak in public
without hyperventilating or holding someones hand ( A lot of hyperventilating & landholding going on which made me think of adding another mini one)

8a - Hold someone's hand because of love...REAL LOVE

9 - Pay more attention to my intuition and follow it

10 - Meditate Daily starting today

If you want a place to practice public speaking, the photo club is always looking ;-) Average attendance is 30-40 of a 90 member group.
