Oh how I love a rainy Monday! Gotta Love it! It gives me the extra time to wind down from the weekend, and yet go right into edit mode without feeling guilty that I should be out enjoying our short summer. I just took a quick look through Saturdays 38 degrees of hotness wedding! Here is one pic and there will be more to follow soon!

Sometimes the smallest weddings are the most intimate, beautiful, heartfelt events to capture. The bride and groom get to spend the time with the people that mean the most to them. I was so excited to be a part of Genevieve & Andy's wedding this summer. They spoke their vows in front of a small group of friends and family and loved every minute of it. Genevieve was so very photogenic and fun, she even let me sneak her away for a few quick photos by an old barn that I noticed. How exciting!

I wish Genevieve & Andy, and friends and family all that the universe has to offer!

Remember that the Blogroll has photos down the side so be sure to check them all out and leave some love and congratulations for Gen & Andy!
This Blogroll session has 14 photos.

Today is my BFF's birthday. My sister, My friend. I cannot imagine my world without her. Kimmy has been my "hip" for as long as I can remember. She is such an amazing person, inside and out. She has a beautiful loyal, trustworthy giving soul, with which she shares with everyone around her.

My BFF is my personal Buddha. Her voice is the most gentle voice you can imagine, and she can ground me instantly with it, whether it be to sooth heart ache or to talk me out of buying purse number #4 inside a high end store.

I am extremely lucky that I have been blessed to have been granted such an amazing person in my life, and to have someone who accepts me just as I am. How did I get so lucky to have spent the entire weekend with her on a working vacation in Boston and have her have the same business/personal interests as me?

How have I been blessed to have such amazing friends and family?

This past week has been a bit of a whirlwind. I have been to Montreal, and then back to PEI, and then drove 12 hours to Boston for the weekend. I met with some amazing couples, some new friends that are now clients. I am a little bit hazy, but am in the process of returning emails, getting ready for this weeks shoots & editing. For now, here is just one shot I took in Montreal. I came around the corner and spotted this lady sitting on the steps, taking a break. Of course I had to run back around the corner to change lens and got this shot without her noticing. Montreal is such an inspiring amazing city.

Roger the bus driver.  John the farmer.  Pete the plumber.  Karen the coffee shop attendant.  These are the people that we see on our way to work, the people that are vital to industry, the people that wake us up in the morning.   These are the everyday people that make us smile.  We know them, we love them, we want to capture them.

In their own light.  In their own words.  Rachel Peters Photography is looking for these people to step into the spotlight for their 15 minutes of fame.  Each of these people have an impact on the way we live, or what we do, and rarely get a chance to be captured where they are doing what they know, best.  The time in now.

This is your chance to give that special person that you know their 15 minutes.  Send along your nominations or ideas to rachel@photographybyrachel.com.  This is an opportunity for the ordinary people in our lives to showcase what makes them extraordinary.
