I was so excited to have finally meet this couple after emailing back and forth discussing wedding details for the big day next summer. I love to get to know my clients along with their style before the wedding day comes along. E-Sessions are included in my packages for this very reason. I cannot wait for your wedding day Erin & Jeremy as a photographer & a friend.

During our Engagement shoot I learned a couple things:

1 * Jeremy loves cars and has one called the "Green Lady" - see photos!
2 * Erin loves Jeremy and in turn will love cars too.
3 * We all hate mosquito's.

4 * This was only the second time they had their photos taken professionally in 10 years of being together!

Erin had written an amazing review about our session and posted it to her facebook the very next day and I was more than excited to see it. It once again reinforced how important my "job" is to be able to capture all of these special times in peoples lives. YAY!! Following is her write-up!

Yesterday Jeremy and I got our engagement photos done!! **exciting exciting** I know but for us it was more then that! U see Jeremy and I have been a couple for 10 yrs and in that 10 yrs we have only had our professional pics done once before ... sounds sad but the reason is not because of time, money or what have you. It was because they turned out using a better choice of words .. HORRIBLE! I have always been nervous about being professionally photographed and since then feared the end result and well Jeremy just never really liked it to begin with..lol
Finally, when the moment I have dreamed of and waited for came along and Jeremy PROPOSED!! <3 I instantly started my search ... not for the right dress, location, or colors but for the right PHOTOGRAPHER! As many of you know I did my research and asked around and Thanks to my good friend Colleen I came upon some Wedding photos done by Rachel Peters. I looked at these photos and instantly loved them!! that night I went home and showed Jeremy her website not knowing what his thoughts would be or if he would even care ... It was like magic as the photos started to scroll through an AMAZING one popped up on the screen of a Bride sitting in an old abandoned car on what I believe was a Trash The Dress shoot. Well as soon as Jeremy seen this he was sold! Jeremy's second love of his life (after me) is his car which is a very sharp 92 5L Mustang we have appropriately named the "Green Lady." Jeremy has owned his car for 8 yrs and it has been apart of his life basically as long as I have. Without question it is going to be a very important part of our BIG DAY so much so that I have even picked the Wedding colors to match with the car!!

Anywho after seeing this photo and all the others I emailed Rachel to book our date knowing she was 100% the right Photographer! Since then we are now all booked "YAY" We have been following Rachel's shoots on her Website/ Blog and kept intouch through Email/ Facebook (of course).
What I would like to let you all know is... for me Rachel's modern, fun and creative personality has always shined through her photography ever since that first moment I laid eyes on one captured by her but, yesterday was our true testament. We were soooo comfortable and really able to be ourselves to the point where I forgot the camera was even there! almost 2 hours of pictures quickly passed by like it was 5 minutes and even though we sat in positions and places we don't normally do on a regular basis it was not a horrible experience like the last, rather it was fun, exciting and full of laughter at times!! I have not seen even a glimpse of the shots Rachel took yesterday but there is not even an ounce of fear in me about these ones! Rachel does incredible work and if any of you need a photographer I encourage you to contact her www.photographybyrachel.co
m ... I have no doubt in my mind that you too will fall in love with her ability to work a camera just as we have!

Thank You sooooo much Rachel and Kim for everything yesterday!! words cannot completely express how grateful we both were for the experience! Keep shootin for the stars!

Yes it is true, mosquito's are no ones friend. These pictures are beautiful, and very fun and modern. I love the black and white and the "golden" ones. Very California like. :)
