This past holiday weekend I had 2 sensational weddings. Wedding season has begun in full effect. Most weeks I have at least 2 weddings. Photography, Edit, Email, Upload, Create, Repeat. This is great time of year. I love the busy-ness of this time of year. I get such a rush from a wedding day!

My first wedding of this past weekend was on Canada Day, July 1st. What a great way to celebrate our countries birthday than with love. I love clients like Kat & Darrell. They were willing to do anything I want and had full trust in me! If I had said climb a tree, I am sure they would have attempted to do it. Although I took a ton of photos, here is one that I came across that I loved. Of course their will be plenty more to follow! For now enjoy!

Thier is nothing quite like a summer evening with that warm yummy sun flare. I love it. It reminds me of being a child. I love sitting outside and totally relaxing at that time of night. This particular night outside was AHHHH - MAZING light. I couldn't get enough of it. It was like their was a magnet outside that kept pulling me towards it!

Of course Sparky Ming Ming & Madison were going to get photos taken. OF COURSE, HOW could they NOT? SMM was out on her trampoline playing which she absolutely adores. She plays on it at least once a day. Meleah had lost one of her two front teeth a few nights before and was ready to lose the other one. It is still hanging by a thread! Then of course, I had to get Madison in on the sun flare fun. Madison is such a sweet gentle young girl. Look at that yummy sun flare all around her!

Ahhhh - Mazing Light with my two Ahhhh - Mazing Nieces. How sweet!

When I received the message below from Jasmine Star, I felt so empathetic and knew I had to blog - from my perspective. It was exactly how I felt when I met her. However, Jasmine did NOT disrespect me the way the person she waited to speak to did.

Jasmine was/is the sweetest person that her blog presents her to be. I was so worried about getting to meet her, because I didn't know what to say to her, and she wouldn't know who "I" was,  that I almost turned around. A stranger that I sat with during the presentation persuaded me to go and introduce myself to her. Half the room wanted to talk to her and were pushing their way through the crowd. She was graciously greeting as many people as she could, shaking hands & hugging, laughing and smiling. When I made it through the crowd to the front of the group, this is what happened.

Jasmine Star was right in front of me. What do I say now? As many of you think I am super outgoing, I am shy at first (for the first minute or 2), and almost would rather be kicked in the stomach that introduce myself first to someone knew, but I force myself over and over to do that just. So I just blurted out "Hello & You did a wonderful job speaking". J* asked me my name and said that I was her focus in the room during the presentation. A room of 2000 people (likely another 2000 waiting outside!). She said that she usually finds a calm, gentle face to focus on and this time it was me. My face helped her calm down. MY FACE HELPED JASMINE STAR CALM DOWN!!! I noticed she was looking in my direction but me being me thought she was looking at something behind me! I even turned around a few times to check! Can you believe it? Jasmine Star was actually being real to me by admitting that she was nervous to do the presentation - she was real as real gets!!! YAY for realness!

I was sooooo happy to meet Jasmine, and not because of the Photography Rock Star from California that she is. I was happy to meet her because she is exactly what I hoped she was, sincere, generous and real. Thank You J* for being you & letting me be your focus even if it was for a short time! Glad to have been their and experienced your amazing presentation. I hope to have a shoot done by you someday, and meet Polo "his cute self" for real!

Mitch & Lisa were married on a beautiful spring day in Prince Edward Island. My idea of beautiful is clouds and no bright sunlight with just a little breeze! I think the rain held off until I literally had all my gear packed up and then it had started. As a photographer, I check the weather constantly for Saturdays, you gotta be ready! The wedding took place at 42nd St Loft , above Off Broadway Restaurant in Charlottetown. It was a beautiful setting with only family in attendance, and a lot of happy hearts.

Mitch & Lisa were introduced to me via friends and I love them. They are adorable. I first got the privilege of spending time with them during their engagement session which I truly love doing. I think it relaxes both the couple and myself for the wedding day. L & M introduced me to the Pearl Jam - No Code album which I blogged here.

Mitch & Lisa are the sweetest couple, full of love for each other and for their friends and family. I wish them the very best and cannot thank them enough for including me in this special time for them. I hope we get to spend lots of time together in the future!

This particular "Photo Tour" morning I woke up to the site of Sandra's children running to the bus with school bags & lunches in hand. They all boarded the school bus and the oldest getting on that bus waited to make sure everyone boarded, and then boarded herself. I hadn't officially met the children yet, but knew they would be awesome. We had gotten in late the night before and the children were all asleep. When the children arrived home later that day, Jodi & I finally got to meet them.

The Regier Family which consists of 5 children, a dog, a cat and a budgie bird were a joy to be around. All 5 children, yes 5!! were amazing. Some characteristics of these children were outgoing, confident, humorous, talented, smart, well adjusted, loving, beautiful & creative. I was in awe of the family unit that they had created at this house. We sat down to supper at 6 o'clock at the table, tv is turned off, and they prayed, again I was in awe. This was not a scene that was created for Jodi & I, this happens nightly, which impressed me. As I grew up, our suppers were the same, every night we waited for Dad to come home and we then ate supper. It was part of our daily routine, and looking back I do love those times!

So when I had heard that this family had never had many family photos done, Jodi & I were all over it. We had very limited time to do this because Sandra (whose Studio I blogged here) had a shoot that night. We did the entire shoot in the back field behind there house. I hope you enjoy these shots as much as I enjoyed making them.
