I loved everything about this wedding. Angela is a beautiful, amazing women, with a loving now husband Jon. Everything about this wedding was vintage, classic and beautiful. Angela grew up in PEI & then moved out to Alberta where she eventually met Jon. From the moment Jon seen her, he knew it had to be her!

One of the most photographed churchs in Charlottetown for weddings is the St. Dunstin's - Basilica . It is an old church with a beautiful heritage and lifeline in Charlottetown. It also just happens to make for beautiful photography! Angela & Jon then held their reception at the Rodd Hotel in Charlottetown. They had a wonderful meal, and dance to follow with lots of dancing fun!

I hope, despite the rain that your day was everything your have ever dreamt it would be. You can view more of Angela & Jon's photos on this slide show by clicking here .

Life is all about real moments as they happen. I love capturing those moments especially when it is a warm summer evening, with a bonfire roaring in the background. I loved the idea of doing this shoot capturing all the fun surrounding a bonfire. Who doesn't love the relaxing sound of a crackling fire!?

I met Dawn & Robbie to shoot their Maternity Session which seems like yesterday, and then to capture little Cooper in the Newborn Session! I cannot believe how fast time passes, little Cooper is growing so fast, and I am glad I have captured him from the beginning. I was excited to meet & do a session with the rest of their family!

"Family faces are magic mirrors looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present, and future."

A speech about sisters and a slide show = the photographer in tears. It always happens to me. Those sideshows with music really get me all sentimental feeling. Then I turn around and see my sister sitting right next to me with a camera in her hand, looking all sentimental as well! As I told everyone in my family, don't ever make me watch one with my life or I would be a complete mess! After spending a whole day with a wedding party and getting to know the personalities of each person and their connection with the bride and groom it is always a way to end the day in pictures.

Jocelyn & Matt couldn't have asked for a more perfect island summer day to be surrounded by family and friends and celebrate their love! The wedding party was amazing, along with all of the girls that helped make sure Jocelyn's day was perfect. I think having a great support system in your friends and choices in wedding parties sure makes a difference on one of the most important days of your life! I am lucky that all my weddings that I am part of seem to have made awesome choices!

Here are some pics from an awesome PEI wedding and a most beautiful couple! You can check out the slide show for their wedding day by clicking here .

The Alibi Lounge is a resto-lounge in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island that I had - planned to, meant to stop into - a million times to check out. It wasn't until I was getting worried about the weather for an engagement session that something drew me right in the front door. I had no back up plan for this session which had already been canceled and changed a few times because of rain. We didn't want to just do the session for the sake of doing the session. We could have went went indoors anywhere, but we didn't want just "anywhere". Our weather here is so unpredictable and I wanted to make sure it was done today.

I came in the front door of Alibi lounge to find one of the owners, Jenn Coupland setting up for the night (it was open mic night). We had a quick chat about me doing some photos in there and she welcomed me with open arms. Literally, I felt like I had known her most of my life. What a great welcome for my first time being at this establishment!

So that being said, of course it didn't rain. That wouldn't make sense for it to rain since I had a backup plan. We ended up doing most of the photos in the Alibi instead of outside! Megan & Ryan were open to driving for 2 hours to do the session and I couldn't have been happier that they did! I will be driving the 2 hours west to do their wedding photos next summer!

The Alibi Lounge is a venue for food, music and fun. The night of the engagement session, it was being set up for Open Mic Night. Various bands come here to play. You can have a bite to eat, a drink and listen to some music in a atmosphere like no other!

Today, Thursday September 23, 2010 The Alibi Lounge will be hosting the Under 40 Biz mixer from 4:30 - 6:30. It will be a 40's & 50's themed mixer and if you dress in 40's & 50's attire, you will have a chance to win a prize from the Alibi!

Come and say hi if you see me hiding in the corner. It will be my first "Biz Under 40" mixer!!

This sweet little family of beautiful people were married downtown at one of the most beautiful oldest churces in Charlottetown.  St. Dunstan's Basilica Roman Catholic Church is full of beautiful architecture and detail. It is always a joy to photograph a wedding in such a beautiful setting.

Vanessa & Donald grew up in PEI and were high school sweethearts. They made their way west as many young couples on PEI do. They are now living out their with their 2 absolutely adorable Taelyn (3 years old) & Kaden (1 year old) . These children absolutely stole my heart, they were so freaking cute!

We did the photos around Charlottetown and then headed out to Cove head beach to take a few finishing shots. The weather was an absolute perfect PEI summer day. I went on the carriage ride around Charlottetown with Vanessa & Donald, and they were looked at like celebrities!
It was wonderful to spend some time with you both and get to know you. I wish you all the best back in Alberta!
